serial #500, 30-06, 25" barrel with added Herters muzzle brake. The barrel retains 97% original blue finish displaying just a few light handling marks. The chamber area is marked "SEQUOIA/302". The receiver retains 98% original blue showing five added holes to accommodate a Williams scope mount; there is an additional added hole on the left side of the chamber collar. The butter knife bolt handle and body retain 98% original blue finish. The checkered walnut pistolgrip half stock with a round left side cheekpiece rates excellent with just a few light handling marks over a lightly added varnish that is slightly flaking. The gun is sighted with its a silver German blade front sight and original Sequoia flip-up rear sight graduated for 200, 300 and 400 yards. Mounted to the left side of the receiver is a Williams side mount which supports a Weaver 60-B 2X rifle scope with a post and crosshair reticle with bright excellent optics. The gun features double set triggers but will require a new screw for the set trigger as it is missing. All of the numbers match and the rifle functions well mechanically. This rare rifle is one of only 1000 imported into the U.S. by Sequoia Importing Co. during the 1920s, this one being #302. (178176-8) {C&R} (1000/1500) SOLD FOR $1,150.00
