35. Early Ruger No. 1 Light Sporter Falling Block Rifle

serial #770, 22-250, 22" light weight barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is a nice AH/S22L rifle in a great little caliber. The early single line address barrel retains 99% original blue while the action retains 98% plus original blue, the loss due to a spot of contact wear on the lever release. The hand-fitted breechblock is numbered to the gun. The checkered walnut pistolgrip buttstock and Alexander Henry forearm rate excellent with only a couple light handling marks. The buttstock and forearm are both numbered "770" and the forearm hanger is marked "AH". Rifle is equipped with a quarter rib, a nice early three digit No.1 in a great little caliber.
