The action retains 90% original blue with loss due to thinning, mostly on the high edges. The plain walnut buttstock and forend rate near excellent with 90% plus original finish with most loss being on the comb of the stock where wood has turned a little darker. The stocks show just normal light handling marks and the stock is fitted with a nickel plated crescent buttplate, the nosecap is blued. The rifle is sighted with a beaded blade front, buckhorn sporting rear and a period long range graduated peepsight with thick base. This is a very fine and desirable Winchester rifle consigned directly from the Vermont family that has owned the rifle for three generations. (18988-1) {ANTIQUE} (4000/6000) Sold For 6900.00
