8. Lovely Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket Semi-Auto Pistol

serial #249543, 25 ACP, 2'' barrel with fair bore showing moderate oxidation and evident rifling throughout. This attractive 1920-made pistol retains nearly 98-99% original nickel finish showing some scattered light scratches, a couple minor dings in the serrations on the left side slide, a tiny flake near the muzzle on the left side of the slide and some further minor handling marks. All of the markings including the Rampant Colt on the slide are crisp and clear. The factory mother-of-pearl grips with gold Colt medallions are un-numbered and remain in very good to very good plus condition showing a few tiny dings, scratches and a few thin cracks around the escutcheons. The backs of both grip panels are fitted with small black hard rubber spacers and the slide is matching the frame. Included is one original nickel-plated magazine in excellent condition, vintage cleaning brush and a worn factory box end-labeled for this model but a penciled number on the bottom that appears to read ''390914''. The box is in poor shape showing a number of detached flaps, tears and flaking. A small consignor tag in the box notes the pistol was shipped nickel-plated on April 5, 1920 to the Von Lengerke & Antoinne Company of Chicago but there is no formal documentation provided. Really a superb example for the Colt collector. (138952-29) {C&R} (1500/2000) Sold For 1725.00
