Winchester 1886 Lightweight Rifle in 45-90

serial #137962, 45-90, 22" round barrel with half magazine and a bright excellent bore.  This is a very fine and completely honest 1886 rifle.  The barrel and magazine retain 95% original blue finish.  The action retains 95% bright original blue with some scattered small patches of light surface corrosion and very fine pitting.  Case color on hammer and lever remains strong.  The plain walnut stocks rate about excellent with 90% original finish remaining and with just light normal handling marks.  The rifle is equipped with its original checkered hard rubber shotgun buttplate, Lyman "hunting" front sight and flat top rear.  Factory records show this rifle being received on August 14, 1906 as a 45/90, round 22" barrel, plain trigger, half magazine, shotgun rubber buttplate, extra light and showing shipment on August 15, 1906.  The record also shows a return and repair on March 9, 1910.  A very fine lightweight 1886 rifle.  (2252-2) {C&R}  (5000/7000) SOLD FOR $5750.00
