Winchester 1886 Lightweight Takedown Rifle in 45-70
serial #137062, 45-70, 22" round barrel with half magazine and a bright excellent bore. This is a lovely, completely honest rifle. The barrel and magazine retain 95% plus original blue finish. The action retains 95% bright original blue finish with just a little light thinning on belly. Case color on hammer and lever remains strong. The plain walnut buttstock and forend rate excellent with well over 90% original varnish remaining and with just light handling marks. Rifle features its original checkered hard rubber shotgun buttplate, Lyman "hunting" front sight and two leaf folding Lyman rear barrel sight. Factory records show this rifle being received in the warehouse on December 27, 1905 as a rifle, 45/70, round 22" barrel, plain trigger, half magazine, takedown and showing shipment on August 16, 1906.
