serial #5106 (frame), 45 LC, 5 1/2" barrel with a very good bore having a few specks of light oxidation.  This is a completely honest artillery revolver in fine overall condition.  The frame and hammer show a dark gray patina with some brown specks of freckling and perhaps 25% slightly mellowed original case colors in protected areas. The barrel retains about 50% thinning original blue finish with the balance bearing a grayish brown patina.  The remaining metal surfaces have a pleasing brown patina with good traces of original blue in protected areas.  There are some scattered specks of older rust and very light pitting with the latter confined mostly to the barrel and ejector rod housing.  All of the printing is clear and legible having principle sub-inspector marks on many of the smaller pieces including "A" (Ainsworth) on the triggerguard and cylinder, "J" (Johnson) on the backstrap, and "J.T.C." (Cleveland) on the barrel.  All of the parts are original with proper mixed serial numbers.  A few of the screws have slot head wear.  The one piece walnut grip with a good visible oval cartouche rates near excellent with numerous light handling marks.  Included with this revolver is a premium H.H. Heiser Model No. 454 double loop right handed hip holster with the quick draw cut and made of premium saddle skirt leather.  This is a very nice little “frontier” Single Action that is fresh to the market.  (2284-1) {ANTIQUE}  (2500/3500) SOLD FOR $4025.00
