serial #126847, 45-70, 22" round barrel with half magazine and a bright excellent bore. This is a very fine 1886 deluxe rifle. The barrel and magazine retain 95% original blue finish. The action retains about 95% original blue with most loss due just to some light thinning on belly. Takedown collar is a pleasing mix of about 20% original blue with the balance bearing a smooth brown patina. Right side of action just ahead of loading gate shows some light blunt impact marks, these are quite minor. Case color on hammer and lever remains quite strong. The checkered pistol grip walnut buttstock and forend to show lovely figure and retain 90% of their original oil finish. Checkering remains quite strong and original checkered hard rubber shotgun buttplate is in place. Rifle features a Lyman "hunting" front sight mounted in low-profile integral base, rear barrel slot is filled with blank and a factory installed Lyman receiver sight is present. This rifle was received in the warehouse on January 30, 1902 and is recorded as: rifle, 45/70, round 22" barrel, plain trigger, checkered stock, pistol grip, Lyman receiver sight, half magazine, shotgun rubber buttplate, takedown, extra light, oil finish and rifle was shipped on December 11, 1902.
