serial #47063, 405 W.C.F., 24" nickel steel round barrel with a very good bore having specks of light pitting. The barrel retains 98% original blue finish. The receiver on this 1904 manufactured rifle retains 45% thinning original blue finish with the balance bearing a pleasing brownish gray patina. The hammer retains 85% strong original case colors. The straight grip walnut buttstock and forend rate excellent with an added coat of linseed oil. A very small piece of wood is starting to lift ahead of the widow's peak on the plain steel shotgun buttplate. The Lyman No. 4 front sight has many light dings and is missing its ivory tip. The rear sight slot has a slot blank and a Lyman No. 38 side receiver peep sight is present. A nice rifle in a desirable caliber. (2261-3) {C&R} [Tom Feist Collection] (3000/5000) SOLD FOR $3795.00
