serial #1300533, 25-35 W.C.F., 24" barrel with an excellent bore. The barrel and magazine tube retain 93-95% thinning original blue finish with some scattered specks of older rust and the balance bearing a brownish gray patina. The receiver on this early 1940s manufactured rifle retains 98% original blue finish with a few specks of similar rust confined mostly to the right side of the receiver. The lever and checkered steel buttplate bear a dark brownish gray patina with original blue in protected areas. Pistol grip walnut buttstock and forend rate very good with many light handling marks and a small bruise on the left side. The front sight hood is missing and the rear sight has been replaced with a slot blank. A Lyman No. 66A receiver peep sight has been added. The stock mounting screw has a slightly misshapen head.
