serial #268252, 16 ga. & 8 x 57 JR, 26 7/8" barrels with bright excellent bores. The action and locks feature nicely executed scroll engraving in about 40% coverage. Drilling features a single set front trigger, Greener side safety, cocking indicators in either lock with a pin cocking indicator on top of frame next to opening lever for rifle barrel. The action also features sideclips and the traditional top safety lever lebeled SCHROT" and "KUGEL which activates the rifle barrel and flips up a rifle sight. The barrels retain about 80% evenly thinning original blue finish. The action and locks retain about 30% of their original faded case-hardened finish with the balance bearing a smooth pleasing gray patina. The checkered pistol grip stock and forend are of walnut and rate very good showing light wear, the very fine checkering could use some freshening. Drilling features a 14 1/4" length of pull and has drops of 1 3/4" and 2 3/4". Drilling comes equipped with a claw mounted Zeiss scope that appears to be about 6 power and a set of sling studs has been added. Sidelock Sauer drillings are quite uncommon this example has lots of bells and whistles. (2591-2) {C&R} (3000/4000) SOLD FOR $3162.50
