Mauser Type S Fullstock Carbine
serial #79084, 8 x 57J (.318"), 20" barrel with a bright excellent bore. Metal surfaces on this handy pattern 230 Mauser retain about 99% later hot immersion blue finish on barreled action, while bottom metal retains about 90% original blue. The full-length stock is classic style with a rounded cheekpiece and is European walnut, it retains nearly all its original finish and rates excellent. Buttplate is checkered bone with the "Mauser" emblem and the pistol grip features a steel cap. Forend features a scant Schnable halfway down its length with a Schnable at its very tip. The grip is dual-panel checkered while the forend has a wrap-around pattern. The gun features a three leaf rear sight with sporting ramp front. Additional features are a turndown bolt handle with dual checkered panels and a hinged, lever release floor plate and double set triggers. The gun has also been factory fitted with dual claw mounts, they hold contemporary, excellent quality EAW rings which mount an excellent Leupold Vari-X II 3x9 scope with excellent optics.
