J.P. Sauer Boxlock Cape Gun
serial #189780, 16 ga. and 8 x 57, 26 3/4". The barrels with very good bright shotgun bore and rifle bore that shows a little light pitting. The action of the shotgun features simple light scroll engraving and is equipped with cocking indicators and a single set front trigger. The barrels which are date coded "5/27" and are equipped with beaded blade front, single standing and single folding leaf rear sight as well as claw bases, retain 98% excellent quality restored blue finish. The action is mostly a gray brown patina with some scattered light surface oxidation present. The checkered round knob pistol grip buttstock and forend rate excellent as refinished with freshened checkering. Gun remains tight and points nice with a 14 5/16" length of pull.
