serial #34708, 16 ga. x 8 x 57 JR, 26" barrels both choked a light full with excellent bores. The rifle barrel as well rates about excellent. Barrels retain perhaps 80% original blue, the loss due to fading to a deep blue-gray. There are a few minor handling marks and a few specks of rust. The frame is a silver mottled case-hardened pewter color retaining case colors in the protected areas. It is marked with a retailer "Greifelt & Co/Suhl" on the frame's belly. There is very light and very minor geometric engraving. The gun features cocking indicators, sideclips, and automatic rear sight when rifle barrel is selected. The rib wears claw mount bases, no rings are present. The checkered, pistol grip buttstock rates about good, showing an old cleaning and with three fairly moderate cracks running through the cheeks and at the rear of the top tang. The checkered splinter style forend rates about good, as cleaned with a three-inch crack at its tip. The front trigger is a single-set. Lockup seems to be good. Overall what seems to be a very good quality drilling in need of a quality re-stocking job. (2490-1) {C&R} (800/1000) SOLD FOR $862.50
