(NSN) 8mm Mauser, 24" part octagon barrel with an integral full-length rib and an excellent bore. Metal surfaces on this nice large ring sporter retain about 99% later, excellent quality hot immersion blue finish. The European walnut stock is classic style with a rounded shadowline cheekpiece. It features a bone capped, checkered pistol grip and European-style sling swivel's. The stock itself rates very good plus to near excellent showing only minor handling marks from use afield. The action features sprays of light scroll and geometric borderline engraving, the front ring being nicely made. The breech area also shows very minor engraving and the entire top rib is nicely hand matted. The bottom metal and long triggerguard shows sprays of light scroll as well as minor geometric embellishment. The gun features a two leaf folding rear sight and sporting silver be front sight. The bolt handle is a nice flattened, checkered Oberndorf style and the gun is equipped with double set triggers. The screwheads have minor slot damage but this is easily rectifiable. A nice short length for young hunter or person of smaller stature, length of pull is 13" to the checkered hard rubber buttplate. (2598-17) {C&R} (400/600) SOLD FOR $345.00
