serial #S93248, 45 ACP, 5 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This revolver has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, barrel, and extractor with the metal retaining 98% plus of the original blue finish with some very minor silvering at the muzzle and a faint turn ring around the cylinder. The hammer and trigger have 95% of the original color case-hardening remaining with some very mild fading along the exposed edges. The checkered, diamond-center medallion grips are numbered to the gun on the interior and are in excellent condition with only some very minor handling marks and blemishes scattered about the original oil finish and very mild flattening of the points. A September 15, 2003 dated Smith & Wesson factory letter accompanies the revolver which lists a ship date of April 17, 1952 to Warshall Sporting Goods Co. of Seattle, WA. This is an excellent N-frame Smith and would make a great addition to a collection. (3421-6) {C&R} (800/1200)
