32. Remington Model 1863 Zouave Rifle
.58 cal. percussion, 33" barrel with a very good plus to near excellent bore showing only some minor oxidation and a couple light pits. Barrel is a deep gray-blue patina with some sparse very minor oxidation and scattered light pinprick pitting, it is properly inspector marked and proofed and dated 1863. Lock shows remnants of mottled gray case-hardening with minor oxidation staining, while hammer exhibits fine brown oxidation. Lockplate is properly maker marked and dated 1863. Stock rates very good plus with minor handling marks and with a good left side cartouche. Brass has a pleasing patina. (3405-13) {ANTIQUE} (1800/2200) |
