serial #453, 44 Special, 6 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This revolver has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, barrel, and extractor with 97-98% of the original blue remaining that has silvered only slightly at the muzzle, a few high edges, and developed a faint turn ring around the cylinder. The barrel and topstrap have been milled to accept a King Super Target rib which features an adjustable white outline rear sight and a red reflector front blade. The hammer has nearly all of the original color case-hardening remaining while the trigger sports a King trigger shoe. The checkered walnut thumbrest target grips are in excellent condition with almost no handling marks and sharp points on the checkering. The revolver is accompanied by an extremely rare original 1920's King Gun Sight Co. catalog with dealer's price list that is in fine condition except for some dirt smudges on the covers and some minor toning on the edges of the pages. Also included is a copy of a June 25, 1999 dated Smith & Wesson factory letter which lists a ship date of February 7, 1908 to Tufts Lyons Arms Co. of Los Angeles, CA. This is a great three digit Triple-Lock with top-of-the-line King target modifications, an original catalog, and in excellent overall condition. A perfect addition to a high grade collection of Smith & Wessons. (3421-1) {C&R} (3500/4500) SOLD FOR $4025.00
