serial #1830, 9mm, 4" barrel with a good bore that has light-moderate pitting within the grooves. This undated pistol has nearly all matching numbers (the sear is a mismatch) and retains 75-80% of the original blue that has faded to a dark plum-brown on the balance. There is some silvering at the muzzle and along the high edges as well as mild freckling visible along the barrel, on the sideplate, and on the gripstraps. The ejector and the right side of the trigger and magazine release have much of the original straw color remaining with only traces visible on the safety, takedown lever, and left side of the trigger and magazine release. The checkered wood grip panels are both numbered to the gun on the interior and exhibit flattening of the points and surface wear around the butt and edges on both panels. The pistol comes with a single unmarked magazine that has a heavily sanded, somewhat crude wooden base with a small crack at the rear edge. This is a very good example of one of these seldom seen Simson & Co. Lugers and would make a great addition to a collection. (74357-7) {C&R} (2000/2500) SOLD FOR $1725.00
