22. W. & C. Scott & Son Sidelock Crystal Indicator Double Ejectorgun
serial #59381, 12 ga., 26" barrels are choked modified in each side and show very good bores. The action and locks of this double feature full coverage relief floral scroll engraving with "W. & C. SCOTT & SON" appearing on each lock. The barrels are not nitro proofed although they are fluid steel and are marked on underside "SPECIAL STEEL B". The barrels retain about 80% original blue finish overall. The action and locks retain about half of their original color case-hardened finish which is faded and blending with a smooth gray patina. All markings and engraving remains sharp. The checkered straight grip buttstock and splinter forend rate very good with a good deal of original oil finish remaining and with just light wear to the original flattop checkering. The shotgun has a 13 3/4" length of pull over its original grooved horn buttplate and shows drops of 1 1/2" and 2 1/2". Overall a very good solid antique crystal indicator Scott.
