serial #105991, 12ga., 32" barrels both choked about modified with about very good bores which show remnants of light pitting and perhaps one or two spots of moderate. The barrels show fading star pattern Damascus their full-length with scattered light oxidation staining and perhaps a minor pinprick pit or two and some light handling marks. The frame is unmistakably B-grade engraved although the water table is not marked with any grade. The frame is now a deep pewter patina and shows minor tool marks on all the metal surfaces as though some well-meaning individual was trying to remove surface rust, it is not beyond saving. The round knob checkered pistolgrip buttstock rates about fair showing un-repaired cracks at the right and left of the rear tang which emanate forward toward the triggerguard with right side cracks at the junction of the frame and stock and showing a crossbolt repair. The original Remington Arms Company buttplate is intact. The splinter style forend rates fair showing much wear, handling marks and flat checkering. The gun seems to lock up well with the top lever is slightly left of center. An about good B-grade overall that is likely worthy of some restoration. (34290-77) {ANTIQUE} (400/600) SOLD FOR $258.75
