serial #148568, 38 Colt, 4 1/2" barrel with a fair-good lightly pitted bore. This 1904 manufactured revolver has traces of the original blue remaining on the ejector rod housing, within the cylinder flutes, and on the ends of the triggerguard bow. The barrel and frame have a mostly gray patina with specks of dark brown distributed fairly evenly throughout the metal. Darker plum-brown is present on the gripstraps and the checkered hard rubber grips are in very good shape with moderate flattening of the points, especially at the butt. The mechanism is still tight and functions flawlessly with the revolver rating very good overall. A nice early D.A. Colt. (74392-25) {C&R} (500/700) SOLD FOR $402.50
