28. Winchester Model 94 Takedown Rifle
serial #947696, 32 Special, 26" round barrel with a bright excellent bore and half magazine. The barrel of this special order rifle is stamped "Stainless Steel" and retains 99% original black enamel finish with numerous very small handling marks. The magazine tube retains 98% original blue with some light fading on the tip. The receiver retains 97% original blue finish with some fading at the high edges and a few light scratches. This handsome rifle features a flat top rear sight, standard front sight, and a Lyman tang sight. The straight grip walnut buttstock and standard forend rate very good with numerous light handling marks, primarily on the bottom of the stocks with the smallest amount of finish possibly added. The crescent steel buttplate rates excellent with traces of original finish fading to a pleasing gray patina with a few handing marks on the heel.
