532. Smith & Wesson 38 Chiefs Special Revolver

serial #101172, 38 Special, 2" barrel with a bright excellent bore. This large triggerguard revolver has 85% plus of the original blue remaining that has silvered at the muzzle, along the projecting edges, and two small nicks through the finish on the left side of the frame below the flat latch. There are some small pinprick pits around the chamber mouths, the backstrap has even brown freckling, and the hammer and trigger have about 70% of the original color case-hardening remaining with the balance being gray. The checkered walnut grips are numbered to the gun and are in fine condition with only mild flattening of the points and minor handling marks at the butt. The mechanism still locks up tightly and the revolver rates in very good condition; a nice Pre-Model 36 overall. (74506-13) {C&R} (350/550) SOLD FOR $316.25
