serial #16082, .36 caliber, 4 1/2" barrel with a bright minty bore. This is a fabulous little Police. The revolver has all matching numbers except the wedge, which is an original Colt wedge in the same condition as the balance of the revolver but it is numbered "6269". The barrel retains about 85% bright original blue finish. The cylinder retains about 40% with the balance bearing a pleasing smooth brown patina. The frame retains about 50% bright original color case-hardened finish with the balance bearing a smooth gray / brown patina. The left side of the frame retains almost all of its bright color with most loss coming on the right side. Alll metal on this revolver is smooth and free of pitting. The hammer retains brilliant color. The brass grip straps retain about 20% original silver plate with the balance bearing a nice mellow patina. The one piece walnut grip rates excellent plus with 95% original varnish remaining. A lovely little Colt Police suitable for casing. (14591-4) {ANTIQUE} (2000/3000) SOLD FOR $2875.00
