722. Russian TT33 Semi-Auto Pistol serial #E5135, 7.62 X 25 mm Tokarev, 4 1/2" barrel with a very good to excellent, frosted bore. The metal surfaces retain 97% immersion blue refinished color with light impact marks under the finish and sporadic light oxidation surface pitting. The pistol bears a 1945 date on the left side of the frame to the right of the serial number. The original black checkered synthetic grips exhibit a circle inset with a pyramid design encompassing the grip screw with "CCCP" lettered in the circle around the top of the pyramid rating excellent. There is no importer mark visible suggesting this may have been traded to an American GI in the European Theatre of WWII. The walnut Monte Carlo sporting stock is a modern Fajen replacement and rates excellent with a few light dings. The side of the receiver has been drilled and tapped for a side mount Weaver base, and included is a K-Mart All Pro 4x32 riflescope with a standard duplex reticle and very good but lightly clouded optics. The bolt does hit the eye lens when being operated and the rings do not sit square on the base. Perhaps a new set of rings or different scope should be used to finish this classic rifle project.
