serial #(series 1) 13653, 8mm Nambu, 4 1/2" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a Showa 18.3 dated pistol (March, 1943) that has matching numbers on the frame, barrel, triggerguard, trigger, magazine release, magazine safety, locking block, and cocking piece. The metal has 99% of the original blue finish remaining that has only some trace silvering on a few of the exposed edges. Nearly all of the original straw color remains on the trigger, magazine release, and safety and the single magazine is numbered to the gun. The grooved wooden grips are in excellent shape with a fine original oil finish and almost no handling marks; illegible pencil markings are present on the interior of both panels. This is a simply excellent mid-war pistol and would be hard to improve on. (74659-19) {C&R} (600/800) SOLD FOR $747.50
