serial #2716, 45 ACP, 5" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has some very mild freckling within the grooves. This is a handsome, 1908 manufactured pistol that retains 95% plus of the original high polish blue finish which has some mild silvering along the exposed edges and on some of the exposed surfaces, most noticeably on the edges of the slide top radius. There are a few scattered specks of very mild freckling on the slide including a single small area of pinprick pitting on the left side just above and behind the "PATENTED" marking, and a few surface scratches just above the slide lock on the right side. The hammer retains 95-97% of the original color case-hardening with traces of gray along the edges and the trigger has a commensurate amount of the original bright fire blue as well. The checkered, double-diamond walnut grips are in very good condition with only minor flattening of the points and a straight-line crack running from the top of the left panel to about midway down. A single correct unmarked magazine is included. This is a great '05 Colt in fine overall condition and would make a wonderful addition to any collection. (75026-2) {C&R} (4000/6000) SOLD FOR $4887.50
