50 RF, 23 1/4" round barrel with a bright minty bore. This carbine is in the same configuration as the Navy model and does indeed have an anchor on the top of the barrel at breech but it does not bear inspectors initials on the action. The condition of the gun is fabulous. The barrel retains about 50% evenly thinning original blue finish which is blended nicely with a pleasing smooth brown patina. The action retains about 95% original color case-hardened finish which remains quite vivid with just slight softening. The plain walnut buttstock and forend rate excellent with a rich dark color and lots of original oil finish. The steel carbine style buttplate retains 85% evenly thinning original blue finish. The carbine has a standard military style folding leaf rear sight and heavy blade front. A very handsome commercial 1867 Rolling Block carbine. (17707-14){ANTIQUE} (1200/1800) SOLD FOR $920.00
