serial #1923848, 20 ga., 28" plain barrel choked modified with a bright excellent, likely unfired, bore. The metal surfaces on this lovely 20 bore retain 98-99% original blue with only the slightest amount of trace wear from being assembled once or twice, likely on some gun dealers rack. The carrier shows no wear at all and the side of the bolt only the slightest amount of minimal wear with both breech face and headspace ring immaculate. There is the odd light handling mark here or there but one must really hunt for them to see them, primarily a few extremely light scratches atop the receiver. The smooth walnut pistolgrip buttstock and grooved forend both rate excellent to as-new, the buttstock with some light box rub wear and a tiny handling ding here or there and a 1" scratch on the front of the pistolgrip itself. The gun comes in its original factory box with correct end label, serial numbered to the gun. The box itself rates very good plus with a few separated corners and some light water staining to the lid. The box bottom shows remnants of the original packing tape. The interior has box inserts and the softwood spacer, "10 Commandments of Gun Safety" pamphlet and original Winchester Model 12 hangtag. Overall an absolutely lovely small bore model 12, absolutely unfired, unused since it left New Haven in 1964. (37771-16) {C&R} (2000/3000) SOLD $2,070.00
