Click on images for enlarged versions.

serial #3585, 8mm Mauser, 22" barrel with a bright excellent bore. The metal surfaces of this 1945 vintage rifle retain 95% original blue and phosphate finishes with some silvering wear on the projecting edges, freckling on triggerguard and floorplate and some silvering on barrel and front band. The laminated stock rates very good as lightly cleaned with an added oil finish, scattered handling marks, dings, a few light stains, a few scratches, a couple faint Waffenamts, a 1 1/4" crack on right side of butt, a repair to tang with a black substance and a repaired 7" crack on handguard. The buttplate shows a couple stains and some scattered light oxidation. The rear sight base is marked "K. 43 qve 45", the bolt carrier is stamped matching to the receiver, while the firing pin housing, bolt body, locking locks and bolt carrier are electropenciled matching to the receiver. The gas cylinder is electropencil numbered to a different gun and there is no visible serial number on the stock. Included with this rifle are an "aye" coded magazine and an original German leather sling. A very good example of these highly sought-after Nazi self-loading rifles.
