serial #3323c, 8mm Mauser, 20" barrel with a near very good bore that shows scattered light pitting in the grooves. The metal surfaces of this 1942 vintage DOT coded rifle retain 75% original blue with the floorplate mostly having turned a silver pewter, fading on barrel on receiver, silvering on bands and barrel and some light oxidation on rear of receiver, the buttplate shows some scattered oxidation staining. The laminated stock rates very good as lightly cleaned showing a few handling marks, stains, a repaired 2" crack at rear of handguard and two shallow 1" cracks in front of rear sight. The bolt is numbered to a different gun and stock and handguard appear unnumbered. A very good-condition example of these hard-to-find German mountain carbines. (207843-23) {C&R} (1000/1500) SOLD $1,840.00
