serial #7175v, 9mm, 4" barrel with a bright about excellent bore with some pitting near the throat. The metal surfaces retain about 98-99% of a museum quality reblued finish, the loss due to minor pinprick pitting on the sear bar spring and the right rear of the frame. The toggle is marked with a Mauser banner and the chamber is dated 1938. All of the visible numbered parts are matching including the grooved firing pin with the exception of the rear and middle toggle link, breech block and hold-open latch, which are numbered "76". This pistol is also equipped with a sear safety. The checkered walnut grips rate very good with only minor flattening of the points and have darkened nicely to match the finish, they are stamp-numbered to the gun on their interior. Included is a single blue-bodied aluminum-based magazine that is numbered to the gun. Overall a beautiful example of a reblued police Mauser banner pistol.
