serial #460, .40 CAB, 29" heavy octagon stainless steel target barrel (1 1/2" across the flats) with a bright excellent bore and a 1-in-17" twist with .4088" throat. The barrel remains excellent with only a minor handling blemish here or there while the action retains about 98% original blue, showing a few minor dings or handling marks here and there, with three or four on the face of the lever. The rifle is stocked in a very nice piece of Circassian walnut with a smooth Monte Carlo pistolgrip buttstock with a flat toeline and a very wide flat-bottomed benchrest forend. Both rate excellent to nearly as new showing perhaps a minor handling blemish here or there. The DeHass Miller action features a bright breechblock which is nicely jeweled and the top flat wears stainless steel target blocks. The length of pull to the 1/2" rifle pad is 13 1/4". Currently the rifle does not seem to cock, or perhaps fire, it is likely merely an adjustment of the fully adjustable trigger mechanism. Included with the rifle is a breech seater, 40 cal. bullet mould, 110 formed cases, 50 projectiles, and bumping dies; brass is made from 38-55 cases. A lovely rifle over all that certainly would be a joy to develop loads for and take to the range; loading data is included. Overall weight is 19 lbs. (38085-4) (1500/2000) SOLD FOR $2,070.00
