42. Winchester Model 1876 Saddle Ring Carbine

Description Update (3/15/17): A few cracks at upper and lower tang and 3" crack left forend

serial #15407, 45-60, 22" round barrel with full magazine and a very good bore. The metal surfaces of carbine are an even and pleasing, smooth gray brown patina. The barrel address and caliber marking remain clear and legible. The plain walnut buttstock and full length forend rate about very good showing wear and handling marks commensurate with the balance of the carbine. The right side of the butt has an initial "A" lightly carved within the surface. The carbine is sighted with standard carbine sights. The carbine comes with a factory letter listing serial numbers 15407, 15408 and 15409 all as 45-60 carbines, all received on August 6, 1881 and all shipped the same day on the same order.
