serial #3779b, 9mm, 4" barrel with a very good bore showing strong rifling and minor frosting along its length. The metal surfaces retain near 60% original blue, the loss due to an overall fading to gray, contact point wear and some minor pinprick pitting on the frame. The acceptance and proof stamps are correctly on the barrel and are lightly struck. The straw parts have all aged to a light gray patina with the strongest color showing on the right side of the magazine release. The toggle is marked with the "S/42" assembly code, the chamber is G-dated and all of the visible numbered parts are matching including the grooved firing pin. There is still some strong fire temper blue remaining on the magazine release spring. The checkered walnut grips rate excellent with an overall flattening of the points. Included is a single bright-bodied aluminum-based magazine numbered "3290s" and is stamped with an "SE-63" acceptance stamp. Overall a nice example of a secret G-dated Luger.
