serial #656431, 32 Colt New Police, 6" factory heavy barrel with an excellent bore. It is estimated that roughly 800 _ 1500 Officers Models were manufactured in this caliber. This scarce 1941 made revolver retains about 98% factory blue with a few scattered scratches, a very small cleaned area of pitting near the muzzle and a faint turn ring on the cylinder. The unmarked checkered walnut factory grips with silver Colt medallions rate excellent. The gun has the correct windage adjustable square notch rear sight and elevation adjustable Patridge front sight. The barrel is marked "HEAVY BARREL" flanked by Maltese crosses. The gun includes the original factory hinged purple box that is correctly end labeled and numbered to the gun, an unused bore brush still in the craft paper sleeve, a "Colt Officers Model Target Revolver" advertising pamphlet and two factory letters. The box rates good to very good with light edge wear, the right two corners are torn and light handling wear. The pamphlet is in excellent condition. There are two factory letters included, one is dated June 20, 2013 and the other August 20, 2013. Both letters indicate this revolver was shipped as described on April 26, 1941 to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Military Division, Boston, Massachusetts. A wonderful investment for the collector. (88187-2) {C&R} (1500/2000) SOLD FOR $2,990.00
