serial #7752g, 9mm, 4" barrel with a bright excellent bore showing strong rifling. The metal surfaces retain about 95% original blue, the loss due to muzzle, high edge and contact point wear and light flaking on the left side of the frame. The toggle is marked "byf", the chamber is dated 42 and all of the visible numbered parts are matching including the grooved firing pin. The checkered walnut grips rate about very good, the right grip showing minor compression of the points, the left grip showing the same wear with a 2" crack running up from the grip screw towards the magazine release; both grips have spots of green verdigris between the diamonds and they are not numbered. Included is a single blue-bodied aluminum-based magazine numbered "8470j" a "+" and an "SE-63" acceptance stamp which rates very good overall with fading of the blue. Included with this pistol is a black P.08 holster dated 1941 and coded "cdg" (Auvaerter und Bubeck Stuttgart) and Waffenamt 101 acceptance marked. The holster shows its age with the usual scuffs and handling marks and the seam stitching is intact around its periphery. There are four holes in the flap where something was attached at some point, there is a stamped aluminum "partieadler" hat device affixed to the flap, the inside of the holster is showing green verdigris and some mildew staining. Nestled inside the holster we find a single blue-bodied aluminum-based magazine not numbered on its base and stamped "P.08", "fxo" and two "SE-37" acceptance stamps which rates excellent overall and a blued and unmarked loading/takedown tool as well. Overall an excellent P.08 pistol/holster combo rig. (218158-36) {C&R} (2000/3000) SOLD FOR $1,725.00
