757. German Model 1883 Reichsrevolver by Erfurt_with Unit Marking

serial #2612g, 11mm German Ordnance, 4 1/2" barrel with a good plus bore that shows pitting throughout much of its length but strong rifling. The metal surfaces of this 1895 dated revolver retain about 70% original blue with scattered freckling, fading and light pitting. The smooth walnut grips rate very good with a few chips, scratches, dings and handling marks. All visible serialized parts are matching and there is a crossed-out unit marking on the backstrap which reads "117.R.2.4.". There is a further undisturbed unit marking on the backstrap which reads "R.S.17.171" and an original black leather M/83 holster is included with this revolver. The holster is marked "AWM/10/93" and is in very good condition overall showing scattered flaking, dents and crazing. A solid Reichsrevolver with a very good holster.
