The metal surfaces of this undated revolver show an original blue finish that is fading to a dull brown patina with scattered oxidation staining and freckling. The smooth walnut grips rate very good with a minor chip at front of each panel, and scattered dings, light scratches and handling marks. All visible serialized parts are matching and the revolver bears commercial "(Crown)/U" proof markings and a retailer marking on top of frame which reads "W. KNIES/DARMSTADT". This revolver includes an original brown leather M/85 holster that is maker marked "SATTLLER-JNNUNG/HANNOVER/1912" showing flaking and crazing throughout. A very good Reichsrevolver with a neat retailer marking. (207879-378) {ANTIQUE} [Craig Brown Collection] (800/1200) SOLD FOR $977.50
