76. Winchester Model 1873 Special Order Lever Action Rifle

serial #132576, 32-20, 24" part round part octagon barrel with button magazine and a near very good bore that is relatively bright but shows some pitting. This rifle is a complete Turnbull restoration. The barrel retains 99% restored blue finish while the action, lever, hammer, nosecap and buttplate all retain 99% lovely restored color case-hardened finish which had been beautifully aged and has a fabulous appearance. The loading gate retains 99% fire blue finish and the cartridge lifter shows a nice patina. The plain walnut buttstock and forend rate excellent with expertly restored finish. The rifle is sighted with Lyman hunting front and standard open sporting rear sight. Factory records list the rifle as follows: Rifle, 32 caliber, 1/2 octagon, plain trigger, 1/2 magazine, casehardened, received on September 26. 1883 and shipping the following day.
