serial #1309d, 11mm German Ordnance, 4 1/2" barrel with a good plus bore that shows light pitting throughout its length with some scattered heavier pits but strong rifling. The metal surfaces of this 1894 dated revolver retain about 60% original blue with fading and oxidation staining on the barrel, cylinder, frontstrap, backstrap and frame and some scattered areas of light pitting. The smooth walnut grips rate very good with a minor chip on the front left panel, scattered abrasions, dings, scratches and handling marks. All visible serialized parts are matching and there is a unit marking on the backstrap which reads "4.GA.1.4" likely for a field artillery unit. This revolver includes an original brown leather M/85 holster that is maker marked "SCHAEFER & RICHIE/BERLIN S." and it is also marked "BAG". The holster shows a minor tear at bottom of flap, scattered flaking and crazing. A very good example of a late Reichsrevolver set.
