serial #3745, 11mm German Ordnance, 7 1/2" barrel with a very good bore that shows scattered light pitting. The metal surfaces of this undated revolver have turned a dull brown patina with silvering on the barrel, cylinder and exposed edges of the frame and cylinder release, and some scattered light oxidation. The smooth grips rate very good showing a couple minor chips on the bottom right panel and scattered dings, handling marks and light scratches. All visible serialized parts are matching and there is a unit marking on the bottom of the grip which reads "A.M.X. 6.22.", possibly for an artillery munitions unit. This revolver includes an original leather M/87 holster that has indiscernible maker's marks and shows scattered flaking and crazing. A solid example of an earlier Reichsrevolver for the German collector. (207879-375) {ANTIQUE} [Craig Brown Collection] (800/1200) SOLD FOR $1,150.00
