serial #664183, 22 LR, 6" barrel with a bright excellent, likely unfired, bore. The metal surfaces on this lovely revolver retain about 99% original blue, the loss may be a tiny handling mark here or there but one must really look hard to locate them. Both hammer and trigger show vivid color case-hardening and there is the tiniest ghost of a turn ring on the cylinder which does not breech the blue. The checkered walnut pre-magna style grips with Silver Smith & Wesson medallions rate excellent and are stamp-numbered to the gun on their interior. The revolver features a silver call-bead front sight and a square-notch rear. Included with the gun is its original red and gold picture box, serial numbered to the gun on its underside on a small manila sticker, affixed to the box bottom. The box itself rates about excellent with very minor handling marks and fraying at the corners with "onionskin" tissue paper in the interior. Overall an absolutely lovely K-22 First Model Outdoorsman revolver that appears unfired in every respect since leaving Springfield Mass. many many years ago. It would be very difficult to find a better specimen. (38211-16) {C&R} (2000/4000) SOLD FOR $2,530.00
