23. Rare Dual-Tone German P.38 Semi Auto Pistol by Mauser Oberndorf

serial #6943d, 9mm, 5" barrel with a very good plus bore that shows a couple pits in the grooves. The metal surfaces of this second variation, third type byf 44-coded pistol retain 90% original phosphate with light silvering and freckling of the exposed edges of slide and barrel, heavier silvering on the frontstrap, backstrap and underside of triggerguard. The brown bakelite grips rate very good plus with some light dings and handling marks. All serialized parts are matching and this pistol includes a blued magazine that is marked with an "(Eagle)/359" on the spine. A very good example of a dual-tone phosphate P.38 pistol.
