54. Scarce Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Carbine with Stainless Steel Barrel

serial #1072459, 32 W.S., 20" barrel with a bright excellent bore. The receiver is a dull gray patina with a couple tiny dings at top of right side, some light silvering and scattered oxidation staining. The stainless barrel is a bright gray color with an area of factory japaned finish at front, further traces of factory japaned finish at area at rear and some sparsely scattered small spots of oxidation staining. The carbine style buttplate is a dull brown patina with scattered freckling and oxidation staining. The barrel bands are a dull gray patina with some light oxidation staining, while the magazine tube retains perhaps 40% original blue with the balance having turned a dull brown patina with some light oxidation staining. The walnut stock rates very good with an added varnish, scattered dings, handling marks and scratches. The carbine is sighted with a blued sporting rear sight and a white dot front sight. A very good example of a hard-to-find 94 with a stainless barrel. (208360-2) {C&R} (1000/1500) SOLD FOR $1,092.50
