serial #1188u, 9mm, 4" barrel with an about good bore showing some scattered oxidation and strong rifling throughout. The metal surfaces of this 41-dated pistol retain about 88% original blue with moderate high edge wear, receiver thinning and toning to plum under bright light, moderate freckling scattered about, some spots of light oxidation staining and tiny pinprick pits at the high edges. The ejector is thinning to silver but still retains some nice plum patina and there are some peculiar rough tool marks on the edge of the frame forward of the takedown lever. The checkered walnut grips are stamp-numbered to the gun and remain in very good plus condition showing some smoothing at the bottom edges, a few lightly chipped points, small dings and handling marks. All of the serialized parts are matching including the grooved firing pin and the pistol includes one blue-bodied aluminum base magazine numbered 6361p with a "+" and "(Eagle) / 63" in good overall condition showing some operational wear and a prominent ding on the right side of the base.
