serial #2317, 243 Win, 26" pre-warning barrel with an excellent bore. The metal surfaces on this 1968 production rifle retain about 98-99% original blue, there are a few light handling marks throughout and some very light surface oxidation which is mostly visible around the rear swivel stud. The frame is toning to a pleasing plum color. The checkered walnut stocks rate near excellent and have some light dings and handling marks to the semi-beavertail forend and pistolgrip buttock, which has some nice figure toward the butt. The factory quarter rib holds a Tasco 3-12X40 riflescope that features a duplex reticle and has very good optics. The scope is mounted via a set of aftermarket vertically split rings made for the Ruger integral base. A set of lens covers and a black nylon sling are included. A great, early production example of these popular sporting rifles, this one chambered in a very desirable caliber. (48584-2) {MODERN} (700/900) SOLD FOR $1,495.00
