Description Update (2/28/18): No lot

serial #22693, 9 mm, 4" barrel with a mostly bright very good plus bore which shows strong rifling but with light frosting in the grooves its full-length. The metal surfaces retain about 90% original blue, the loss is due to mottled fading and flaking to a plum brown, also with a few spots of minor oxidation and some scattered spots of very light pinprick pitting. The sideplate is mostly a brown patina, perhaps lightly cleaned many years ago, but the trigger, ejector and extractor show very good fading pale straw; the takedown lever, safety and magazine release all show later restored blue, rather than straw colors. The toggle is DWM-marked and the few numbered parts are matching, the un-grooved firing pin is un-numbered. The checkered walnut grips rate very good plus to perhaps excellent showing only a few minor flattened or chipped points, they are un-numbered exhibiting only a star stamping on their interior. Included is a single bright-bodied wood-based magazine which is marked along the bottom "Cal. 9 mm", the magazine rating very good plus showing some remnants of light oxidation staining on the body. Overall an about very good example which actually appears to have more blue under normal ambient light. (378050-40) {C&R} (2000/4000) SOLD FOR $3,565.00
