serial #66517, 30 Luger, 4 3/4" barrel with an oxidized bore still showing visible rifling throughout. The metal surfaces of this pistol retain about 95% reapplied blue with some light high edge wear, a few areas thinning to brown-gray patina and small spots of pinprick pitting underneath the newer finish. The small parts have been refreshed at some point and show some remnants of cleaned pinprick pitting and overall toning to silver. The checkered walnut grips are mismatched numbered "47" and do not quite fit the frame perfectly. They remain in about good overall condition, the left panel showing more moderate wear than the right with overall smoothing, small dings and handling marks. The DWM logo is still rather sharp while the Federal Eagle has been obscured somewhat by light pitting. The un-grooved firing pin is un-numbered, all other serialized parts are matching, the front sight has been regulated during the period of use and the pistol includes one un-numbered bright-bodied magazine in good condition with the body lightly cleaned to gunmetal and the base with a neatly repaired thin crack. The pistol seems to function well and is still a very good example for the budding collector. (138050-743) {C&R} (800/1200) SOLD FOR $1,035.00
